Community Standards: Coordinates the student conduct process with fairness and transparency, facilitating educational opportunities while connecting students with pathways for growth and continued success at S&T and beyond.
Student Support: Facilitates resource navigation and coordinates connections to campus and community services and resources during challenging circumstances.
Crisis Assistance: Coordinates 24/7 emergency response, facilitating immediate support for students and families during critical incidents while connecting individuals to appropriate care resources.
Discrimination or Title IX Response:Investigates hazing incidents that involve discrimination, sexual harassment, or targeting based on protected characteristics through specialized equity processes
Supportive Measures:Implements interim protective measures such as no-contact orders, academic measures, and housing modifications when appropriate to ensure impacted students can continue their education safely
Educational Training Facilitation:Coordinates anti-hazing training for registered student organizations, compiles educational resources, and facilitates workshops on positive leadership practices and organizational culture development
Alternative Programming Development:Collaborates with organizations to develop and compile alternative team building and initiation programs that foster belonging and achievement without harmful practices
Organization Support:Provides guidance and support to organizations and facilitates pathways to positive culture development
Counseling & Trauma Support:Coordinates confidential mental health support for students who have experienced hazing-related trauma, facilitating access to individual and group counseling services through campus and community providers
Educational Programming & Training Coordination:Coordinates and compiles bystander intervention training resources, facilitates educational workshops on recognizing hazing warning signs, and connects students with intervention skills development
Case Management Coordination:Facilitates brief, solution-based support by connecting students to resources and helping them develop healthy coping strategies through a coordinated support network
Medical Treatment:Providesnon-emergency medical treatment and serve as an urgent care.
Referral & Care Coordination:Connects students with specialized medical services, mental health resources, and community providers as needed for comprehensive recovery support
Emergency Response & Safety:Provides immediate response to dangerous hazing situations and implements safety measures to prevent further harm to students
Criminal Investigation & Enforcement:Investigates hazing incidents that may constitute criminal violations and coordinates with local law enforcement and prosecutors when appropriate
Education & Deterrence:Conducts outreach programs to educate student organizations about legal consequences of hazing and maintains visible presence at high-risk events
