Reporting

The University has a number of ways for individuals to easily report observations and concerns.

If you have been hazed, have witnessed hazing, or suspect that someone you know has been hazed.

Fact: 69% of college students said they were aware of hazing in campus organizations other than their own.

- National Study of Student Hazing

Hazing is a crime under Missouri Statute § 578.365 and federal law and is prohibited by University policy in accordance with CRR 200.010 Standard of Conduct consistent across the University of Missouri System. The University does not condone hazing in any form.

The University provides multiple avenues for students, family members, faculty, staff, and community members to report hazing. If you see or hear something that concerns you, please report that concern or incident to support the health, safety, and well-being of students.

The University is best positioned to respond to hazing concerns when we receive accurate, timely, and factual information. Please do not assume others have reported the concern – we would rather receive multiple reports than none at all.
