Barb S. Prewett obtained a Bachelor of Science Management Information Systems and Computer Science in 1997 and a Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology with an emphasis in Leadership and Policy Analysis in 2018 from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Barb joined Missouri S&T in 1998 and currently serves as Director and Assistant Dean of Students. She plays a central role in S&T’s efforts to create a safe, healthy, and supportive campus environment where students can reach their full educational, aspirational, and personal goals.
Barb helped establish and currently leads UCARE and directs student support services including the Joe Miner student success initiative and the student emergency fund, along with non-academic student conduct. She also leads assessment, strategic planning, and policy development efforts for the division and serves as liaison to General Counsel’s Office. Barb has served as an adjunct instructor for the Psychological Sciences department. She has expertise in risk and threat assessment, case management, organizational behavior, and strategic initiatives. Barb’s favorite aspect about Missouri S&T is the meaningful relationships with campus and system colleagues along with the opportunities available to explore new challenges that make a difference in the lives of students.
Student Conduct Manager

Nick Bodkins received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Drury University. Nick joined Missouri S&T in Admissions in January 2023 and currently serves as the Student Conduct Manager in the Office of the Dean of Students.
Nick manages the implementation of the student conduct and alternative resolution processes and assists in department assessment and data management. Nick assists with maintenance of the department webpage and serves as a partner to Equity and Title IX and Academic Misconduct on investigations.

Kayla Kim earned a Bachelor of Arts in Language and Literature and a Master of Arts in Education from Sangmyung University in the Republic of Korea. Kayla joined Missouri S&T in April 2024. She provides administrative support to the Office of the Dean of Students and is the first line of contact for students engaging with the department. Kayla is pursuing her Master of Business Administration at Missouri S&T. She enjoys collaborating with various departments work working to promote a safe and successful learning environment for students.
